During the Covid-19 crisis, many MicroSociety programs were put on hold. But now our schools are ready to move them online – and we will aim to make that possible.

MicroSociety students will soon have access to a new web-based home for their marketplaces, banks, businesses, job fairs, and governments and community-service initiatives. We are also developing an online, teacher-controlled MicroEconomy Game that will reinforce math skills, teach economics and entrepreneurship, and expose students to a wide range of potential future careers that do not easily lend themselves to a brick-and-mortar MicroSociety Schools. And finally, we are rolling out a new series of online training sessions for faculty on these new offerings, social emotional support for students, and many other topics.

With your support, MicroSociety Inc. will be able to step up the rollout of these important digital tools – and invest in future improvements so our online experience becomes just as rich as the in-school one.

In case you aren’t aware, the CARES Act offers important tax incentives for U.S. donors who make contributions in 2021. Taxpayers who do not itemize can take an above the line deduction of up to $300 if filing single/separately and $600 for those filing married/jointly, while those who do itemize their returns can take deductions for gifts made up to 100% of their adjusted gross income.
